EASTON, Maine — A motorcyclist and his wife were injured Sunday when they were struck by a pickup as they traveled on the Easton Center Road.
The accident occurred Sept. 21, 2014 at approximately 12:34 p.m. Trooper Jeff Clark responded to investigate.
“Zachary Lamoreau, 18, of Easton, was making a left turn into a private drive off of the Easton Center Road. Stuart Craig, 56, of Mars Hill, was traveling east on the Easton Center Road with his wife, Cathy Craig, 56, as a passenger. Lamoreau slowed down to a stop, did not see the Craigs and turned into the private drive,” said Sgt. Chad Fuller, of the Maine State Police.
The Craigs were unable to stop and struck Lamoreau’s vehicle on the passenger side.
“Stuart’s 2014 Harley-Davidson impacted the passenger front of Lamoreau’s 2004 Trail Blazer, causing both Stuart and Cathy to be thrown from the motorcycle onto the ground. Lamoreau was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. Stuart and Cathy Craig were wearing helmets; Stuart Craig was treated and released from The Aroostook Medical Center. Cathy Craig was transported to TAMC, then transferred to a Bangor hospital,” said Fuller.
Crown Ambulance and the Easton Fire Department assisted at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
An update on Cathy Craig’s condition was not available at presstime.
