LITTLETON – Winthrop “Dick” Wellington Murphy, 78, passed away peacefully Sept. 9, 2014 at his home. He was born Nov. 16, 1935, at Fort Fairfield, the son of Wentworth Wellington and Ruth Zoey (Holton) Murphy.
Dick is survived by his daughters, Catherine Francis, Bridgett Oliver, Robin Searles and her husband Paul, Pamela Searles and her husband, Robert, Patricia Murphy and Hazel Murphy; 23 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jack Murphy and Forest Murphy; many extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents; daughter, Ruth; granddaughter, Brittany; brothers, John, Charles, Huey, Hershel and Ralph; sisters, Patricia, Eveline Murphy and Iona Boniface; and the mother of his children, Joan Marie Murphy.
