WATSON, Norman C., 78, PRESQUE ISLE, September 11, 2014. A private service will be held Wednesday, Sept.17, 2014, at the Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.
PRESQUE ISLE – Norman C. Watson, 78, entered into eternal peace on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014, at his home in Presque Isle. He was born on January 4, 1936, in Presque Isle, the son of Clarence and Dolly (Gray) Watson. He graduated from Presque Isle High School in 1954, and Bentley School of Finance & Accounting in Boston. He then served in the U.S. Air Force in California and Japan. He returned home and worked as an accountant for Chester M. Kearney & Co., Pinkham Lumber Co., and Pelletier Toyota.
He loved German Shepherds and being in his tractor seat on his farm. He enjoyed music, ice skating, family card games and gatherings, basketball, running and watching sporting events. He particularly enjoyed the PIHS basketball successes throughout the years. He encouraged and was especially proud of his children’s school and life accomplishments.
He is survived by his loving family: wife, Carolyn (Cyr) Watson of Presque Isle; a son and his family, Michael, Christina, Ryan and Joshua Watson of Glenburn; three daughters: Nancy, David and Matthew Hedrich of Mapleton, Wendy and Robert White of Collierville, TN, and Dolly Watson of Cary, NC; two brothers and their wives: Stanley and Sharon Watson of Ann Arbor, MI, and George and Susan Watson of Presque Isle; two sisters: Effie and her husband, Cluny McPherson of Presque Isle, and Joyce Watson of Flint, MI.
He was predeceased by an infant son, Robert; and two sisters, Eunice Watson and Marion Neuhardt.
A private service will be held Wednesday, Sept.17, 2014, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home with Pastor Darren Bonville officiating. Interment with military honors will be at Fairmount Cemetery, Presque Isle. Donations in his memory may be made to C-A-N-C-E-R, P.O.
