Mary Poppins’ cast part of fundraiser
PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Aroostook Partners in the Arts hosted its first movie event at the Braden Theater Aug. 13, 2014.
Mary Poppins (Annalise Wardwell), Mr. and Mrs. Banks (Keith Clark and Hannah Chalou), Bert (Dale Winslow) and the Banks children (Josh and Jayden Harvell) were all on hand to meet those attending the movie “Mary Poppins.”
Spoons full of sugar were also given to guests as they arrived. For many, it was the first time they had seen this classic Disney film. Adults enjoyed watching it on the big screen as well. The Presque Isle High School theater department assisted with casting and costumes.
This fundraiser assists the organization as they bring local artists and art-themed events to local schools. Aroostook Partners in the Arts are preparing for their next movie event on Saturday, Sept. 20 at 10 a.m. Those attending will enjoy Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and will have the chance to find the “Golden Ticket” in their chocolate bars, with prizes to be awarded.
Again, the cast will be on hand to meet and greet those in attendance.
