    Currier, Grace E., 93, July 25, 2014.  Arrangements by Dunn Funeral Home, Houlton.

    MONTICELLO – Grace Eileen Currier, passed away from cancer with her beloved daughter Sandra and nurses by her side July 25, 2014 at Mars Hill Nursing Home. Mother was born November 28, 1920 at Princeton, the daughter of William Edward Sherman and Bertha (Bailey) Sherman Monk.
    Mother loved reading her Bible every day. She was a devoted Pentecost and a good Christian. Mother enjoyed playing cards, Spades, Phase 10, Canasta and Hearts. She enjoyed her friends and loved the staff at the nursing home as her second family. She enjoyed visits with her own family and especially enjoyed her loving daughter Debbie’s visit on Wednesdays and every other weekend with Sandra. Mother enjoyed music with Larry and Larry, Bill Dechane and the Gospel groups. She attended activities until a few days prior to her death. Her favorite meal was baked beans, potato salad and hot dogs, and chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting. She always enjoyed butterflies. She was always afraid of thunderstorms, loons and the dark ever since she was a child.
    Mother is survived by her children, Bonnie Rairdon of NH, Sandra Logue as Mother would always say her old stand by, Shireen Belyea and her partner, Dean Nason, all of Monticello, James Logue, Jr. and his wife, Carol, Debra Logue, Angeline Currier-Saunders-Peters and her husband, Rodney, Randy Currier and his wife, Trudy, all of Houlton, George Currier, Jr. and his wife, Toni of Littleton; 27 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; 37 great-great-grandchildren; and 1 great- great-great-grandchild; sisters, Ruth Smith, Carolyn Carle and her husband, Orcutt, Elaine Dukette, all of CT; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, William Sherman, when she was 8 months old; George Monk, Sr., the only father she ever knew; her first husband, James Logue Sr.; her second husband, George Currier Sr.; her brothers, Edward Franklin Sherman and George Monk Jr.; and three infant grandchildren, Harold, Gregory and Rodney Nason.
    Mother will be dearly missed and loved. At the request of Mother and following her wishes for the sake of her precious daughter Debra, there will be no services or calling hours. Rest in peace, dear Mother. Your broken heart has been mended. No one can ever hurt you again. I know you’re in Heaven. I love you.
