HOULTON – Geraldine (Gerry) Tidd, 64, of Houlton died, July 25, 2014, at my home after many years of fighting MASA. I was born Sept. 21, 1949 in Houlton, the daughter of Allie and Jean (Brewer) Tidd.
I worked with the general public as a waitress, short order cook and a licensed hairdresser, and lastly as a dispatcher for the Aroostook County Sheriff’s office.
I am survived by my best friend of 24 years, Chris (Jr.) Richardson of Houlton; three daughters and one son, Lynette and Bruce Barnes of Essex Jct., Vt., Melissa Winslow and Jeff of Oneida, N.Y., Amanda Richardson of Hodgdon and Shon Richardson of Monticello. I was very fortunate and blessed to have six grandchildren, Tawnie, Mikayla, Alyssa, Hunter, Richie and Christopher; and four great-grand-children. I am also survived by one sister, Arlene and Shirley Cleary of Cary, and two brothers, Elwood and Dinah Tidd of Hodgdon and Francis and Diana Tidd of Edmond, Okla.; three sisters-in-law, Marilyn, Christine and Irene; several nieces, nephews and cousins. I am predeceased by my parents and three brothers, Phillip, Glen and Robert.
