The Island Falls Senior Citizens met on July 17 at the municipal building with 15 members present. After a delicious potluck dinner, entertainment was presented by our president, Rich Camire, and his guitar.
Our regular business meeting was opened by President Rich, and after the Lord’s Prayer and Flag Salute, the secretary’s and treasurer’s reports were presented and accepted. Mary Lawler and Gloria Noyes gave a synopsis of the meeting with Aroostook Area Agency on Aging Director Steve Farnham in Sherman on July 16. Following that, a thank-you card from Matt Furrow, our scholarship recipient, was circulated.
As there was no new business, the meeting was adjourned, and we played a few games of bingo with Mary Pipes being the blackout winner.
Members present were Darrell Hartin, Edward Dwyer, Rich Camire, Ellie Peck, Paige Coville, Jeanne Clements, Donna Baker. Ursula Levesque, Mary Lawler, Dennis Boone, Verna Boone, Gloria Noyes, Edith Dwyer, Mary Pipes and Terry Dwyer.
