Leadership of the Caribou VFW and Ladies Auxiliary were recognized during the State of Maine Veterans of Foreign Wars Convention held in Bangor on June 20. Among other recognitions, the Caribou VFW post received an award for being the top community service post in the state of Maine and an award for creating the top newsletter in the state. The Caribou VFW also placed third for its POW/MIA projects.
Individually, Patricia Edgecomb received the President of the Year Award for the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
“The awards show Caribou VFW is proud of its post and will continue to support the community and its veterans,” said Senior Vice Commander of the Caribou VFW Roger Felix.
