Glow Run 5K/10K set for Saturday
For runners who want more of a challenge than the traditional 5K race, or families who are looking for a fun weekend activity, the Midsummers Night Glow Run 5K/10K takes place on Saturday, July 12 and can fill both of those needs.
Midsummers Night Glow Run 5K/10K will be held at the Presque Isle Middle School track. Registration is from 7-8:15 p.m.
The event includes a one-mile Fun Run for kids at 7:45 p.m. and a Glow Run offering both a 5K and a 10K option that gets underway around 8:45 p.m. Both distances will start and finish on the track.
Participants are encouraged to dress up in glow-in-the-dark shirts, bring glow sticks or other glow items and find creative ways with family and friends to make this event memorable. There will be lots of music pumping, laser lights and a crazy finish.
After the race, a free family-friendly movie can be enjoyed under the stars.
