NorState donates to local charities

NorState Federal Credit Union held their 73rd annual membership meeting in Madawaska on June 7.             What made this year’s  meeting unique was instead of giving out collective tokens to members attending, NorState FCU decided to donate to local charities of choice in the member’s name. Selection ballots were given out to each attendee to choose from a list of local charitable organizations that they would want to see benefit from the donation.

“For each voting member, a $3 donation will be made to the charity of their choice,” explained Denise Duperre, marketing director for NorState FCU.
Receiving donations in the members’ names will be Hope & Justice Project, Central Aroostook Humane Society, Aroostook National Wildlife Society, Heather Liam Connection, Homeless Services of Aroostook, Veterans of Foreign Wars, ANGEL Flight, Patient Airlift Services, American Red Cross, NorState Campaign for Ending Hunger, United Way, Mizpah, Retired Seniors Volunteer Program, Aroostook Hospice Foundation, Edgar J. Paradis Cancer Fund, and Maine Winter Sports Center.
