    MAPLETON – Gladys M. Lowe, 82, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2014, at The Aroostook Medical Center in Presque Isle. She was born in Easton on Oct. 1, 1931, the daughter of Arthur and Hattie Buckingham. She worked at Aroostook Regional Transportation for 18 1/2 years as a bus driver. Gladys enjoyed watching show time movies, and loved to eat ice cream bars.
    She is survived by two sons, George Lowe of Mapleton, and Ronald Lowe of North Carolina; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; her friends, Floyd Easler and Peggy Gudreau; her caregiver, Meagan Smith; several nieces and nephews; and her companion dog, Sophie.
    She was predeceased by her husband, William Lowe; a son, Terry Lowe; a daughter, Debbie Lowe; and her four siblings.
    A graveside service will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, June 28, 2014, at Fairmount Cemetery, Presque Isle, with Rev. Ernie Farrar officiating.
