University hosting weather workshop
The University of Maine at Presque Isle will host a Thunderstorm Safety/Spotter Workshop with WAGM Chief Meteorologist Ted Shapiro on Wednesday, June 25, from 7:15-8:30 p.m.
in Folsom Hall, Room 303. Campus and community members of all ages are invited to attend this free event. Shapiro will share important weather-watching skills that everyone should know to help them identify impending thunderstorms so they can properly prepare for them. He’ll also teach the audience about clues they can look for in the morning, hours before a thunderstorm may even occur. FMI call 768-9452.
