Eagles 8, Shop & Save 4
Ghent Durepo hit a first-inning inside-the-park grand slam home run to stake the Eagles to a 4-0 lead, and pitched 4-1/3 innings with 11 strikeouts on the mound to help his team earn the victory over Shop & Save.
Amber Moir was the other hitting star for the Eagles, with two triples and a single to drive in two runs. On the mound, Dominick Crouch pitched the final 1-2/3 innings and snuffed out a last-inning Shop & Save rally.
For Shop & Save, Parker Deprey had a double and triple to drive in all four runs, while Alex Ezzy had a pair of doubles.
Sleepers 7, Key Bank 4
Sleepers built a 7-0 lead and held off a comeback bid to defeat previously undefeated Key Bank. Hayden Hunter showed excellent control on the mound going the distance for Sleepers, striking out 13 batters and walking none. He also paced the offense with a double and single and scored three runs.
Chris Cassidy scorched two doubles and drove in three runs, Jay Belanger doubled and scored twice, and Keenen McDougall continued his hot hitting with two singles.
For Key Bank, Owen Martin had an inside-the-park homer and a triple and scored twice. Cullin Caverhill tripled and singled and Jacob Paul hit a run-scoring single in the sixth inning.
Shop & Save 6, S.W. Collins 5
Destinee Goodridge hit a seeing-eye single in the bottom of the fifth inning, knocking in Parker Deprey with the go-ahead run and giving Shop & Save an exciting triumph over S.W. Collins.
Deprey also hit an inside-the-park home run and a triple and Sawyer Deprey had a triple and single to lead the Shop & Save attack. Chloe Kirschmann walked and scored a late game-tying run in the fourth inning.
For S.W. Collins, Sydney Thompson had three hits, including a double, and scored three runs. Zach Gerakaris had an RBI double and Caleb Espling had an RBI single.
Shop & Save 16, Police 2
Shop & Save’s Sawyer Deprey pitched four innings, allowing only one run on one hit, and at the plate had two singles to lead Shop & Save to the lopsided win over the Police. Ezzy had two singles, Miles Collier had an RBI double and Ethan Holdsworth had a single and scored four runs in Shop & Save’s offensive attack. Devin Wright made his pitching debut, and also had a bases-loaded catch in center field to save at least two runs.
For the Police, Devin Saggese had a single and scored a run and Jacob Bolen walked and came around to score. On the mound, Devin Saggese pitched 3-plus innings, Connor Rideout went 2-plus and Jacob Bolen pitched an inning.
Shop & Save 10, Knights of Columbus 3
Shop & Save scored six times in the second inning to jump out to a quick lead and held on for the win over the Knights of Columbus. Ezzy smacked a two-run inside-the-park home run for the big blow in the inning, and later added a single. Parker Deprey had three singles and scored three runs.
On the mound, Ezzy and the Deprey brothers each pitched two innings, with starter Ezzy getting the victory.
For Knights of Columbus, Hailey Holmquist and Zack Caron had run-scoring singles, Marcus Daigle had a double and Ryan Austin had a single. Splitting the pitching duties for KC were Daigle, Ari Plante and Colby Bonville.
