The Houlton Regional Hospital Auxiliary recently reported its spring fudge basket sale was a hit.
Thanks go out to all the volunteer fudge makers who helped make the annual event so successful. “Without you, there would not be a sale,” auxiliary officials said. Included were Dawn Anderson, Brenda Bailey, Janet Bates, Arlene Bean, Guat Beckwith, Madeline Boutilier, Eileen Bustard, Pat Chase, Sharon Chase, Connie Davison, Wilma Dobbins, Elizabeth Dulin, Dorothy Estabrook, Leslie Gervais, Barbara Grant, Louise Hamilton, Doris Harbison, Elinor Harvey, Betty Hutchinson, Pat Larson, Lani Lemerise, Joan Logan, Francis McKenney, Beverly Moody, Dr. Suzanne Nelson, Phyllis Oliver, Ida Parks, Melissa Parks, Glynn Porter, Ida Ricker, Linda Sennett, Helen Sherwood, Joannie Sides and Uncle Willy’s Candy Shop.    The auxiliary gives special thanks to Wendell Harvey, the gift shop volunteers and the information desk volunteers Beverly Moody, Debbie Bell and Betty Hutchinson for helping to make the baskets, to Janine Moran and Elizabeth Dulin for help with publicity, to Patrice Lunnie and Janet Vose, their behind-the-scenes supporters and transporters, and to Marion Collins for helping on sale day with the sale of these baskets.
“Thanks also go to those who came and purchased over 200 of our lovely baskets or made cash donations. All funds raised by the auxiliary this year will go towards purchasing new general ultrasound equipment,” said auxiliary representatives.
All are invited to come and browse and shop the HRH gift shop, open Monday through Friday 9 a.m.-4 p.m. On sale are cards, bargain books, baby gifts, Crazy Cate jewelry, stamps, Rada knives, and locally made soaps, salves and fruit spreads. There is something for everyone.
