Vernal, Stephanie C., 67, April 20, 2014.  Calling hours are Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m.  A time of fellowship will be held afterward at the VFW Paul Lockhart Post Number 6187.  Interment to be held in Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield, later in the spring.  Arrangements by Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, Fort Fairfield.

    AR-Stephanie-Jones-OBCARIBOU – Stephanie C. (Jones) Vernal, 67, passed away Sunday morning, April 20, 2014, at a Bangor healthcare facility, after an extended illness. She was born January 23, 1947, in Caribou, the daughter of Gerald “Casey” and Mavis (Green) Jones.
    She attended Caribou schools and obtained her masters degree in nursing from Webber State University, Ogden, UT. Stephanie was a licensed hairdresser and also worked as a registered nurse for a number of years while residing in Idaho. She was a member of the Stockholm American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and the Aroostook Amateur Radio Association. Stephanie was a very outgoing person who greatly enjoyed birds, having raised African Grays in Idaho. She also enjoyed crocheting, reading, and genealogy.
    In addition to her parents, Stephanie was predeceased by one brother, John T. Jones. She is survived by her companion, Dennis L. Bosley Sr. of Caribou; one son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Catherine Marker of Winter Haven, FL; two daughters, Kristen Dedrick and her fiancé, Michael E. Downing, of Scotia, New York, and Michelle Wolfe of Napa, CA; one brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy J. and Geneva Jones of Caribou; one sister and brother-in-law, Peggy A. and Marcus Johnson of Mountain-top, PA. She also leaves behind Dennis’s children, Dennis L. Bosley Jr. and his wife, Jayne Marie, of Utah, Kristy Strid and her husband, Timothy, of Caribou, Shannon Cust and her husband, Michael, of Levant; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her parrots, “Sassy Bird” and “Miss Bebe”.
    Friends may call Thursday April 24, 2014, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield where a service to celebrate her life will be conducted at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. Robert Smith officiating. A time of continued fellowship will be held after the service at the VFW Paul Lockhart Post Number 6187, Presque Isle Street, Fort Fairfield.
