    Blake, Lawrence L., 91, April 19, 2014.  Calling hours are today at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s of the Visitation Church, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m.  Spring interment to be held in the Hodgdon Cemetery.  Arrangements by Bowers Funeral Home.

PT Lawrence Blake    HOULTON – Lawrence L. Blake, 91, husband of Regina Yvonne (Bourgain) Blake died after a long illness on April 19, 2014. He was born September 1, 1922, in Hodgdon, the son of the late William Blake and Iva (Day) Blake Lycette.
    Lawrence graduated from Houlton High School, drove Hatfields Taxi for ten years and worked at Houlton Water Co. for 32 years. He was a loving husband and devoted father. Lawrence was a member of St. Mary’s Visitation and was a 4th degree Knight of Columbus.
    He is survived by his wife, Yvonne of 66 years; three sons, Carl and his wife, Sally, Daniel and his wife, Gisela, and Gary and his companion, Nancy Barton; a daughter, Carol Lincoln of Houlton; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Kenneth and Howard; three sisters, Vera Blake, Eleanor Brown and Joyce Hovey; and step-father, Wendell Lycette.
    Friends may call 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 23 at St. Mary’s of the Visitation Church, 112 Military Street, Houlton where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. with Father Dave Raymond officiating.
