PLAINVILLE, CT – Avis Irene (Dow) Keith passed away unexpectedly Friday, February 7, 2014, at her home. Avis was born on May 22, 1939, in Houlton, Maine, the daughter of Clifton and Evelyn (Carmichael) Dow.
She attended schools in Littleton, Maine, and graduated from Ricker Classical Institute in Houlton.
She was an avid Boston Red Sox fan with her favorite player being Big Papi.
She is survived by her three sons, Wayne Randall of Houlton, Wade Keith and his wife, Kathleen, of Burlington, Connect-icut, and Richard Keith of Plainville; five grand-children and one great-grandchild; her sister, Jo-Ann (Dow) Barton and sister-in-law, Jean Dow; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Stuart Dow.
Funeral services will be held privately in the spring at Littleton Cemetery, Littleton, Maine.
