The Senior Citizens met at the Smoki-Hauler Snowmobile Clubhouse in Oakfield with 20 members and one guest.
The blessing was given by Don Marley before lunch. Once again we had more than lunch. The flag was saluted and the Lord’s Prayer was said. Then our guest, Michael Montpetit, patrol deputy, talked about scams that are going around, especially directed toward the seniors.
The 50/50 was won by Mildred Gagnon. Food was brought in for the Island Falls pantry. Thanks to everyone. We collected quite a lot for them and I’m sure it will be very much appreciated.
Those who attended were George Barrows, Jessie Barrett, Kathleen Boutilier, David Burpee, Sharon Anderson, Bernice Campbell, Jeanitte Clements, Earl and Lottie Doughty, Bill Dill, Thelma Flowers, Nancie Fowler, Mildred Gagnon, Marie Gillotti, Sandra Holmes, Mary Lawler, Ursula Levesque, Bob and Dee Locke, Don and Charlotte Marley, Wanetta Townsend and Wanette Wiggins.
If anyone is interested and would like to come, we meet the first and third Wednesdays of each month from 11 a.m. until around 12:30 p.m. We would enjoy having you.
