Middle school students and staff enjoyed “Spirit Week” from Feb 10-14 at Mill Pond School in Hodgdon to help everyone ease into February vacation. Middle School student council members met and decided on specific days to be celebrated. Backwards/inside out day was on Monday; Clash Day was celebrated on Tuesday (students and staff were seen in some pretty unusual outfits!); Wednesday was Blue and White Day as our tribute to our Hodgdon Hawks who are tourney bound; Thursday was Tie Day (also known as “Mr. Loiselle Day” and students and staff did their best to impersonate our vice-principal, Peter Loiselle; and Friday was to have been Pajama Day, but that was celebrated at home thanks to Mother Nature.
Another part of this week was the annual carnation sale for Valentine’s Day. This was another student council sponsored event with a total of 537 carnations sold and delivered to all area schools.
