BANGOR, Maine — The Houlton and Hodgdon Project Graduation groups have come up with a clever way to raise some dough during February vacation. During tournament week, which runs from Saturday, Feb. 15 to Saturday, Feb. 22, on days that either the Houlton boys or girls or the Hodgdon boys play a tourney game, patrons of Uno’s Restaurant can help donate up to 20 percent of their tab to the Project Graduation group when they present one of the group’s coupons.
These coupons, which may be photocopied, are available at Lisa’s Hair Salon, Macs Trading Post, WHOU radio station, the Houlton Pioneer Times office, T&S Market and the project graduation Facebook pages for both Houlton and Hodgdon. Coupons must be presented at the time the order is placed at the Bangor eatery.
“This is a win-win situation for our groups,” said Danette Ellis, one of the project organizers. “Uno’s is open from 11 a.m. until 12:30 a.m. they have a wide variety of delicious food. The coupons are good for either take out or dine in.
“We are also trying to reach anyone that might be willing to take a few minutes to place a food order to benefit our cause,” she continued. “We would like to reach the college students in that area, people that will be in Bangor attending appointments etc, as well as those going to the tournament.”
