To the editor:
I would like to comment on the following article featured under the opinion section in my Bing news app by Paul Krugman, The New York Times “The Undeserving Rich.” Mr. Krugman is backing up President Obama on the importance of income inequality as America’s most pressing issue. Like President Obama, Krugman is presenting statistics about this issue.
I would agree that the standard of living, for the majority of Americans, is the most pressing issue in America. So far the arguments have only progressed to the statistics stage. The problems are economic. The legislative, ideological, and cultural effects on the supply and demand curves of the labor market are the factors that America needs to discover, understand and correct. The mere understanding and arguments about the statistics of this problem is only the beginning.
