HOULTON — The Houlton Star Bright Children’s Theatre will be holding auditions for its annual production on Jan. 28, at the Court Street Baptist Church in Houlton. The play will be presented to the public in the spring (dates to be determined) at the Houlton Community Arts Center.
This year’s production will feature four short plays, each written by a local student and Houlton Star Bright Children’s Theatre participant. The plays will include “Bellerella” by Quinn White; “A Medieval Love Feud” by Jordan Farnham; “Christmas” by Anna Hogan; and “The Magic Forest” by Hope Chernesky.
The plays were selected from entries in a play writing contest that Houlton Star Bright Children’s Theatre sponsored this past fall.AUTHORS — Local students who wrote plays for the Star Bright Children’s Theatre are, from left, Jordan Farnham, Quinn White, Anna Hogan and Hope Chernesky

All children will be required to attend final rehearsals during the week of the performance. There will be no rehearsals during the school vacation weeks. The final week’s rehearsals will take place at the Houlton Community Arts Center at Houlton High School.
