Presque Isle High School’s Class of 2015 will once again be sponsoring the Mapleton pageants. The two pageants will be held Saturday, April 5 at PIHS. Girls in grades 1 through 3 are eligible to participate in the Little Miss division, while girls in grades 4 and 5 would be in the Pre-Teen division. Girls in grades 6, 7 and 8 would compete in the Junior Miss division. Girls in grades 9 and 10 will be Teen contestants and grades 11 and 12 will be Miss contestants.
To be eligible, girls must be residents of Mapleton, Chapman or Castle Hill. There will be a parent informational meeting at the Mapleton Lions Hall Thursday, Jan. 30 at 6:30 p.m.

Time is running out
If you are a dog owner in Mapleton, Chapman or Castle Hill, don’t forget to license your pet before Friday, Jan. 31. A late fee of $25 per dog will be issued to anyone licensing their dog(s) after that day.
Residents with a licensed dog (6 months of age or older) are eligible for the Town Office’s “2014 Best Dog Contest.” Entrants must submit a photo and show a rabies certificate. The winner will be announced Monday, Feb. 10 and will be awarded a $40 gift certificate to the veterinarian of the owner’s choice. The annual license will also be refunded to the winner.
