The Wildcat hockey team is now 4-3-1 on the season following Friday’s 5-4 loss to John Bapst played at the Forum in Presque Isle.    Nate Reece’s second goal of the game, which came on the power play, broke a tie and gave the Crusaders the victory.
“We had ample scoring opportunities,” said PI coach Carl Flynn, “but their goalie [Sam Lander] prevented us from finishing.”
The Wildcats held leads on three occasions, only to see the Crusaders come back each time.
“They never gave up and kept fighting,” Flynn said.
Andrew Michaud had two of PI’s goals, while Mikey Michaud and Alex Michaud had the others. Joseph Patenaude picked up two assists.
Lander finished with 32 saves, while Jillian Flynn turned away 21 in goal for Presque Isle.
