Maine Epsilon Master chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met Dec. 18 at the home of Judy Kenney, with Tammy Walton as co-hostess.
The meeting was called to order by president Nancy Nichols. Members brought non-perishable items for The Gift food pantry and needed items for the Sister Mary O’Donnell Homeless Shelter.
Community service projects sponsored by the chapter included a food basket delivered to a family in need as well as donations to the Kiwanis Community Christmas and Martha and Mary’s food kitchen.
Christmas cards were sent to members who are snowbirds and to members who are unable to attend meetings. Many happy dollars were shared.
Refreshments were served by Bonnie Cowett, Jane Crouse, Iris Towle and Kenney. Following the meeting, a Yankee Swap was enjoyed by all.
The next meeting will be held Saturday, Jan. 18 at 9:30 a.m. at the Mark and Emily Turner Memorial Library.
