HOULTON – Gerald J. Wright, 84, died Dec. 31, 2013 at his residence. He was born April 6, 1929, in Houlton, the son of John P. Sr. and Theodosia (Folsom) Wright.
Gerald was a member of Saint Mary of the Visitation Church. He was a employed with Smith Brothers Plumbing, then many years with Harbison Plumbing and Heating until his retirement. Gerald loved spending time with the apple of his eye, granddaughter Violet. He looked forward to fishing and fiddleheading.
Gerald is survived by his wife, Rosamond (Upton) Wright of Houlton; two sons, David Wright of New Limerick, Stephen Wright and his wife Crystal of Houlton; granddaughter, Violet Rose-Mary Wright; special family friend, Alicia Marie Bell; four sisters, Maxine Gildred, Jean Emery, Mary Arch and Elizabeth Cone; several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his parents and his brothers, John Jr. and Robert.
Friends called at Saint Mary of the Visitation Church Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of a mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. with Rev. David Raymond celebrant. Spring interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
