    UPPER SANDUSKY, OH & PRESQUE ISLE, ME – Julia Mae Gardiner, 72, has passed away and is now with her beloved husband of 35 years, Ralph James Gardiner. She was born on September 22, 1941, in Presque Isle, the daughter of Seldon Smith and Margaret (Murchison) (Smith) Wood.
    Mrs. Gardiner worked as a cashier in retail and enjoyed card making, bible study and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
    Julia is survived by her four children, Linda Gardiner of Presque Isle, Cheryl and her husband, Ron Strohm of Nevada, OH, Larry Gardiner of Largo, FL, and David and his wife, Sherry Gardiner of Chapman; one sister, Peggy Kline of Virginia; two brothers, Floyd Wood Jr. of South Carolina and Alan Wood of Colorado. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Jessica Dyer of Nevada, OH, Andrea Gardiner of Presque Isle, Matt Dyer of Nevada, OH, Melinda Burby of Ashland, Patricia Cote of New Sweden, Sara Johnson of Largo, FL, and James Gardiner of Chapman; along with 11 great-grandchildren.
    Services will be held in the spring.
