Four promoted at MMG
PRESQUE ISLE — MMG Insurance Co., a property and casualty insurer headquartered in Presque Isle, has announced several promotions.
William “Bill” Sweeney IV
has been promoted from senior inside appraiser to casualty claims supervisor.
Sweeney joined the company in 2006 as an auto damage analyst, having worked for 20 years in the auto body industry. In 2010, he was promoted to the position of senior inside appraiser.
He has earned State of Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont adjusters’ licenses, Vermont and Pennsylvania appraisers’ licenses, and a Maine motor vehicle inspector’s license. He is also a National Federation of Professional Trainers certified personal trainer and a 2011 graduate of the Young Professionals Institute.
Sweeney and his wife, Sheree, have a son, Owen.
Matthew Cote
has been promoted from commercial lines lead underwriter to commercial lines senior underwriter.
He joined the company in 2008 as a commercial lines lead underwriter, after having held various management roles in the rental car industry throughout the states of Maine and Massachusetts.
Cote earned his bachelor of science degree in business administration and marketing from the University of Maine. He recently earned the chartered property casualty underwriter (CPCU) designation from the Insurance Institute of America. He is also a 2009 graduate of the Young Professionals Institute.
He serves as a steering committee member for Momentum Aroostook, is a past committee member of the Maine Insurance Agents Association’s Young Agents committee, and is co-founder and current committee member of the Aroostook County Triathlon Club.
Cote and his wife, Amy, have a daughter, Ada, and a son, Ben.
Chad Brewer
has been promoted from programming supervisor to information systems assistant manager.
Brewer began his career in 1993 working for the company’s information systems department as a part-time computer operator. In 1995, he was promoted to a programmer-trainee, and in 2000 he became a programmer/analyst. In 2004, Brewer was named project coordinator and programmer/analyst, and in 2005 was promoted to programming supervisor.
He earned his bachelor of science degree in business administration from Husson College and his associate in information technology (AIT) and associate in general insurance (AINS) from the Insurance Institutes of America.
Brewer and his wife, Lisa, have two daughters, Mia and Ava.
Chantal Pelletier
has been promoted from senior customer service representative to customer service supervisor.
Pelletier began her career with MMG in 2005 as a personal lines data entry operator. In 2006, she became a customer service representative for the company’s new customer service department. In 2010, she was promoted to senior customer service representative.
She has earned her associate in applied science degree in legal office administration from Northern Maine Community College, and is attending Husson University in pursuit of her bachelor’s degree in business administration. Pelletier is also a 2010 graduate of the Young Professionals Institute.
Pelletier has earned the chartered property casualty underwriter (CPCU) designation, as well as program in general insurance (INS), associate in commercial underwriting (AU), associate in general insurance (AINS), associate in insurance services (AIS), and associate in personal insurance (API) designations from the Insurance Institutes of America and the associate in customer service (ACS), professional in customer service (PCS), from Life Office Management Association.
She and her husband, Matthew, have two sons, Zachary and Mason.
