The State Road Advent Christian Church will be hosting its annual “Candles and Carols” service Sunday, Dec. 22 from 6-7 p.m.
The West Chapman Advent Christian Church will be holding its Christmas choir presentation Sunday, Dec. 22 during the morning service at 10:45 a.m. The church will also be hosting a Christmas Eve candlelight service at 6 p.m.
The Mapleton Methodist Church will host their annual Christmas Eve service Tuesday, Dec. 24 at 6 p.m.
Christmas Sunday, Dec. 22 at the Mapleton United Baptist Church will see Sunday School for all ages at 9:30 a.m. Christmas worship begins at 10:30 a.m. with refreshments and conversation as we gather for worship. During the service, the choir will present “Bethlehem Morning,” a musical that tells the story of Christmas through traditional carols and Christmas favorites. Pastor Ken Phelps will share a message of hope and joy. There will also be a special children’s story during the service.
The church’s Christmas candlelight service will be at 5:30 p.m. in the decorated sanctuary. The Christmas story will be shared through special music, carols and scripture. The service will end with participants lighting individual candles and singing “Silent Night.” Friends and neighbors in the community are invited to attend.

Community calendars are delayed
According to members of the Mapleton Daze Committee, the company printing the 2014 community birthday calendars has had some production issues causing the order to be delayed. Members hope to have the calendars before the start of the new year. Thank you for your patience and understanding!
