        PRESQUE ISLE – Evelyn P. Archer, 82, passed away at her residence after a long battle with illness on Thursday, November 28, 2013. She was born on April 14, 1931, in Centerville, NB, Canada, the daughter of Auburn and Madelyn (Rockwell) Ireland.
    Evelyn worked for many years at Converse, Potato Service and McCains before she retired. Evelyn was an avid bingo player and made many bingo friends over the years. She loved to play cards with her family. She loved to go to yard sales and family “get-togethers” where she enjoyed Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays especially.
    She is survived by sons; Larry Ireland of Manchester, NH, Kim Archer and his wife, Debbie of Mapleton, Scott Archer of Presque Isle, Bruce Archer and his wife, Teresa of NC, Brent Archer and his girlfriend, Lisa of Presque Isle, Shawn Archer and his wife, Trisha of Tulsa, OK; a daughter, Lori Cote and her husband, Philip of Mapleton; a brother, Wendell Ireland of Wappinger Falls, NY; one special granddaughter, Heather Walker; and one very special great-granddaughter, Marissa Ann Greene; 17 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren with one on the way; and three great-great-grandchildren. She will also be remembered by her two good friends, Audrey Bishop and Christine Roy; and her caretaker, Susan Cleaves.
    She was predeceased by her husband, Donald; her son, Donald; four brothers; and one great-grandson.
