HOULTON, Maine — A number of local residents were asked what they are thankful for during this upcoming holiday season. David Edgar, of Houlton said, “I’m thankful to have such a loving wife.”
While shoveling his driveway Cedric Glidden of Houlton stopped to say what he’s grateful for this year. “I’m thankful for lots of things, mostly my health, but I’m thankful just to be able to get out of bed in the morning.”
Clarence King, Houlton, mentioned he is thankful that we will have lots of snow, so he can make money shoveling the sidewalks downtown.
Tracey Crone, of Houlton, is a work-study student at the Houlton Higher Education Center, “I’m thankful for my daughter’s health.”
Lastly, Jessica Noyes, who is also a work-study student from Houlton, admitted “I’m thankful for my son, for the fact that I’m able to go to school and also my dog.”
These are just a few of the things these Houlton residents have to be thankful for with the holiday season right around the corner.
