The Island Falls Recreational Department is inviting all area children to the town’s municipal building Halloween, Oct. 31, from 5-7:30 p.m. for a “Trunk or Treat” event.
Trunk or Treat is a fun way for kids to go trick or treating without going door to door. Also, it is a way for those of who do not get many trick or treaters to join the fun. Prizes include $200 for best “Trunk” decoration, $50 for best costume for ages 11-17 and one lucky trick or treater will find $50 in their candy.
Adults from around the area are welcome. To enter, all you need is a “trunk” (SUV, car, truck or even an ATV), some treats (please bring your own to hand out) and a really cool costume. No scary or provocative costumes will be allowed.
Please register between 3:45- 4:30 p.m. and be sure organizers get your picture! Cash prizes will be announced at 7:30 p.m. Children ages 11-17 may enter in the costume contest by registering by 5 p.m. but must stay until the judging at 6 p.m.
