Presque Isle Country Club announces end-of-year champs

Presque Isle Country Club professional Barry Madore has released the list of winners for the 2013 golf season.    Club champions were named in 12 divisions. Junior-junior, Libby Boone; junior, Jenna Hallett; ladies A Flight, Hallett; B Flight, Monica Bearden; C Flight, Jennifer Flynn; senior ladies, Sue Maynard; men’s A Flight (match play), Ralph Michaud; A Flight (medal play), Michaud; B Flight, George Watson; C Flight, Ray Boone; senior men, Dan Hotham; super senior, Frank Keenan.
Winning the President’s Cup on the ladies’ side was Hallett, with Michaud taking top honors for men.
Greg Thompson and Scott Wyman were victorious in the memorial tournament. The husband-and-wife champions were Ed and Kathy Maynard for gross and John and Kelly Cole for net.
Capturing the couples night cup were John and Kelly Cole.
For parent-child senior flight, Larry and Connor Shaw came in first, with Tony and Seth Roy taking top honors for the junior flight.
For the Ladies Twilight League, Flynn and Cole were the winners, while on the men’s side, Paul Higgins and Gene Michaud were victorious.
The 46th Coca-Cola Spudland Open winners were Porter Gervais for low gross and Kevin Tuttle for low net. Michaud won the Joseph J. Freeman Award for the low gross score for PICC members.
Five holes-in-one have been recorded so far: Gary Hughes on hole No. 17 on June 11, Bobby Russell on hole No. 8 on July 13, Andrew Perry on hole No. 8 Aug. 30, Rick Collins on hole No. 4 Sept. 10 and Eldon Levesque on hole No. 16 on Sept. 19.
