The Caribou Parks and Recreation Department’s pee wee soccer program continued with games played Sept. 30 and Oct. 2.
In the grades 5-6 World League, Manchester United played an impressive game against Chelsea and their hard work and commitment throughout the season was on display. Ethan Holdsworth had the first goal of the evening on a direct kick from just outside the 18-yard line.  Later in the second half, he converted his second goal on assists from Brevin Barnes and Dakota Yakel. Strong defensive performances were provided by Madison Stratton, Mackenna Smith and Owen Martin. Chelsea played strong and kept pressure on the Manchester United defense, but was unable to break through for a goal. It was a hard fought battle. with Sage Dubay, Spencer Soucy, Ben Lagasse and Tyler Seaman all demonstrating great hustle on the field for Chelsea.    Barcelona played hard against the tough Real Madrid team and Cullin Caverhill led the offense with a goal and many offensive attacks. Outstanding play was credited to Ezra Judd, Abby St. Peter, Sawyer Deprey and Abby Allen.
The final game of the season for Manchester United proved to be a back-and-forth battle with no scoring because of tremendous defense by both teams. Barnes, Holdsworth and Jordan Duplessie worked hard on offense to create scoring chances and narrowly missed for the lone goal of the game as time expired.  Strong defensive play was once again led by the dynamic duo of Stratton and Mackenna Smith, who were assisted on the defensive end by Josh Fortin and Hannah Tarbox. Matt Smith was stellar in the net, stopping every shot he faced. Barcelona’s strong play also produced offensive opportunities from Caverhill, Levesque, Kim Susi and Malachai Willey. Hunter Stubbs, Ryan Dee, Alaina Quinlan and Cody Martin were the defensive stoppers and Caleb Espling was outstanding in goal.
Team Chelsea played a stellar Real Madrid team to end the season. Alex Bouchard found the back of the net to put the team on the scoreboard. Riley Bouchard had some nice corner kicks which enabled the offense to a couple attacks at goal. Edie Shea, Destinee Goodridge and Livia Bouchard possessed the ball effectively. Real Madrid had some great scoring opportunities and capitalizing on a few of them were Parker Deprey, Sawyer Deprey, Joseph Cimino and Aiden Plante. Allen had good touches and helped on offensive runs. Tiernan Barbosa was all over the field with great moves offensively and defensively.
In the grades 3-4 Premier League, the Timbers and Revolution squared off. Timber’s Chris Corbin was outstanding on the defensive side of things in this contest. Avery Knowles did a great job dribbling the ball and passing it forward to her teammates for some great offensive runs. The Revolution Ryan’s Austin took charge in this contest displaying some very nice footwork against the defenders. Naomi Cote and Tilly Seaman played will on defense and Kaleb Finelli showed great hustle all over the field.
Galaxy and Red Bull played and finished the evenly-matched game in a tie. Mia Theriault scored in the second half of play off a Saffayia Durepo assist. Reece Cavagnaro also assisted on a Theriault goal later in the contest. There were great passes and ball possession from the whole team. The Red Bulls got on the board with goals from Colin Poitras and Ashlyn Bouchard. Konnor Huckins assisted one of the goals and Jacob Palmer and Issac Andretta both had some great saves in goal.

Team Red Bull found the net courtesy of Bouchard, Palmer and Poitras. It was a solid performance from everyone to end the season. Great efforts were turned in by Araya Caverhill and PJ McDonough on both ends of the field. Revolution ended its season with a hard-working performance. Down a few players, Alexis Gustin, Ahlandra Engstrom and Jaden Picard stepped up their play and made some great passes.  Tanner Prashaw had some nice shots on goal.
