The Houlton Senior Citizens invited the Oakfield Senior Citizens to join them for a Spaghetti Dinner at Watson Hall on Main Street in Houlton on Sept. 24. Fabric pumpkins were the centerpieces on the beautifully set tables.
With lots of activity in the kitchen the Houlton Seniors were preparing the delicious meal of Spaghetti, green salads, cheese, delicious breads and the Oakfield Seniors provided raspberry filled and plain sugar cookies, gingerbread and cool whip, raspberry crunch pudding, cream puffs, cake and donut holes. No need of anyone going home hungry after that wonderful meal.
Robert Luhrs, leader of the Houlton group led the Lord’s Prayer, Flag Salute and the blessing for the dinner. After the meal everyone introduced themselves to the group. It was nice to meet new people and find “old” friends there again.
Thanks to the Houlton Seniors for inviting Oakfield to share their meal and visit. If you are looking for a nice place to visit and share a meal try attending one of the senior meetings in your area.
