HOULTON — The Houlton Police Department is seeking the public’s help with a string of burglaries to downtown businesses over the weekend.
According to Steven Nason of the Houlton Police Department a person or persons broke into the basements of buildings owned by Richard Crone in Market Square. The burglaries occurred sometime Saturday night and early Monday morning.
Beals Variety and Daniels Florist were among those businesses targeted. The break-ins were noticed when the two stores opened on Monday.
Nason said a small amount of money was taken from both businesses.
