BENEDICTA – David A. Qualey, 64, died Sept. 10, 2013, in Benedicta. He was born Jan. 4, 1949, in Island Falls, the son of George and Ella Cunningham Qualey.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by six daughters, Cassie Qualey of Bangor, Shannon Qualey of Benedicta, Angela Qualey of Pennsylvania, Amanda Rush of Connecticut, Jamie Alley of Bangor and Kayli Rush of Bangor; two grandsons, Damien and Reilly; and several brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and many close friends. He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Becky, in 2001; a sister, Angela; and a brother, Billy.
Friends called 9-10 a.m. Saturday, at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church, Benedicta, where a mass of Christian burial was celebrated 10 a.m. with Father Joel Cyr, celebrant.
