The Portage Lake Tourism Committee needs your help! They are currently recruiting new members (and/or volunteers) who are willing to work hard to help promote the wonderful little town of Portage Lake.
With the 2014 World Acadian Congress being held in northern Maine, Portage Lake will be in the heart of the celebrations. It is expected that thousands of tourists will be visiting the area. There is a lot that needs to be done in preparation and they need your help! Please consider joining their group and giving back to your community. The committee also needs ongoing community assistance with the annual Portage Lake Summer Round-Up.
The committee would also like to announce that the next Maine World Acadian Congress meeting will be held Wednesday September 25 at 6 p.m. in the old Fort Kent Town Office. All members, volunteers and the public are welcomed and encouraged to attend.
