If you walk into a Dead River Co. office any Wednesday in September, don’t be confused. It’s not “casual Friday.” It’s “Blue Jeans Wednesday.”
Through Sept. 25, Dead River Co. will support “Hunger Awareness Month” in all 54 of its Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and Massachusetts service areas giving their employees an opportunity to donate a dollar to wear blue jeans to work each Wednesday during the month. The money donated by employees will be matched dollar for dollar by the company.
In Maine, the donations will be distributed to the Good Shepherd Food Bank.
This is one of many ways Dead River helps to support the fight against under.
“This is a company-wide effort,” said Bob Moore, president and CEO of Dead River Company. “We thought an annual ‘Blue Jeans Wednesdays’ would be a great way for us to sustain our support and allow our employees to be further involved.”
