 ELLIOTT, Erwin “Tub” G., 76, MAPLETON, at Caribou, Sept. 1, 2013. A graveside service with military honors will be held Thursday, Sept. 12, at 1 p.m., at Southside Cemetery, Mapleton. Arrangements by Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.

  MAPLETON – Erwin “Tub” G. Elliott, 76, died Sunday afternoon, Sept. 1, 2013, at Maine Veterans Home in Caribou. He was born on Jan. 21, 1937, in Mapleton, the son of Charles S. and Climena (Archer) Elliott.
  American Flag Color  Erwin served in the U.S. Navy. He worked for Maine Public Service Co. for 38 years as a lineman and as a record keeper. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias, achieving the rank of Past Chancellor Commander; a member of the Chapman Ridge Runners Snowmobile Club, serving on the Board of Directors and as club photographer; a member of The Aroostook County Flyers Club, and the Sleepy Hollow Muzzle Loaders.His greatest passion was his photography.
    He leaves behind thousands of photographs of events, flowers, places, people and especially his sunrises and sunsets.
    He is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Paula (Moody) Elliott of Mapleton; a son, Warren Charles Elliott of Revere Beach, MA; two grandchildren, Arjuna Elliott of Caribou, and Ethan Elliott of Presque Isle.
    Erwin was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Vernon Elliott; a sister, Donna Landry; and his good friend, Ronald Gamblin Sr. in 2012.
    A graveside service with military honors will be held Thursday, September 12, at 1 p.m., at Southside Cemetery, Mapleton, with Pastor Lucy Lovley officiating.
