PRESQUE ISLE — The University of Maine at Presque Isle’s Reed Fine Art Gallery presents “Wise Women: A Celebration of their Insights, Courage, and Beauty” by Joyce Tenneson from Sept. 2 through Oct. 15.
Internationally lauded as one of the leading photographers of her generation, Joyce Tenneson has been described critically as “one of America’s most interesting portrayers of the human character.” Her images have been displayed in more than 150 exhibitions worldwide and are part of numerous private and museum collections.
The public is invited to view the exhibition and attend a reception, in conjunction with the Presque Isle First Friday Art Walk, on Friday, Sept. 6 from 5-7 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
