CARIBOU – Norman F. Akerson Sr., 80, died July 28, 2013, at Presque Isle. He was born in Woodland August 18, 1932, the son of the late Edward and Jennie Eldora (Nadeau) Akerson.
Mr. Akerson served with the U.S. Army and was employed by Warren Anderson Farms for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Jill (LaPointe) Akerson of Caribou; sons, Paul and Kirk Akerson, both of Caribou; daughters, Beatrice Wilkins of Washburn and Roxie Martin of Clinton; stepdaughters, Kelley and Kimberly Pelkey, both of Caribou; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Mr. Akerson was predeceased by a son, Norman Jr., and two sisters, Alice Hartsgrove and Jennie Wright.
A memorial service and interment was held 10 a.m. Friday, August 2, 2013, at the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery, Caribou. Arrange-ments by the Mockler Funeral Home Caribou.
