The five-acre parcel was donated for the project by Robert K. Irving, president of Cavendish Farms Operations, Inc., on behalf of the Irving Family of New Brunswick. Among those attending a July 23 dedication ceremony were, from left, Scott Smith, local Cavendish Farms manager; Wayne MacDonald, Irving Group vice president of corporate relations; Rick Duncan, president of Aroostook Hospice Foundation; and Doug Hunter, Foundation treasurer. Michael MacPherson, obstructed by the sign, is Foundation vice chairman.
