Road race set in Caribou
CARIBOU — Cary Medical Center will sponsor a five-kilometer running event on Saturday, Aug. 3 on the trails on the hospital campus. The second annual ‘Spike It Up’ event will also have a new element featuring obstacle course-type challenges.
The event will also benefit the Wounded Warriors Project, with half of the proceeds going to the project and the other half benefiting the Cary trail system.
The race will begin a 9 a.m. on the Cary campus near the Outpatient Rehabilitation Services building. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. The registration fee is $15 for individuals and $20 for couples. The first 100 to register will receive an event T-shirt.
