The Syracuse, Va. Police Department is proud to recognize the efforts of Stanley H. Zukowski for his concern for the safety and welfare of a despondent veteran on the night of Dec. 19, 2012. Stanley Zukowski took notice of the behavior of the
veteran and alerted the Syracuse VA Police who were able to take action and ultimately save the life of the suicidal veteran. Stanley Zukowski’s efforts had a direct impact on the positive result of a situation that might have become tragic without such efforts. The Syracuse VA Police Department is proud to recognize the actions of Stanley Zukowski and extend a heartfelt thank you for a job well done.
Marian Swanson, formerly of Houlton/Hodgdon, submitted a copy of a certificate awarded to her son, Stanley, who works at the Syracuse, N.Y. Veterans Hospital Complex.
