Thompson, Olive N., 89, July 2, 2013.  Interment held in the Evergreen Cemetery.  Arrangements by Dunn Funeral Home, Houlton.

Olive N. Thompson passed away peacefully in her home, July 2, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 23, 1923 in Amity, the daughter of Isaac and Effie (Walton) Simpson.
Olive attended Amity school and Houlton HS, graduating from Hodgdon High School in 1943. Olive married Lester C. Thompson on July 10, 1946. They were married for 60 years, raising four children, and running the Thompson Oil Co. with Lester’s brothers, Ralph and Vaughn.
Olive is survived by children Lester R. (Randy) and wife, Lissa, of Houlton, Jim and friend, Linda, of Drews Lake, Laurine Wilson of Nickerson Lake, Chris and wife, Kim, of Houlton, and daughter-in-law, Mary of Brewer; grandchildren, Robert and Robin, Andrew, Whitney and Jake, Katie and Sam, Annie and Ron, Elizabeth and Mark, Ashley and Corey, and Aimee and Travis; great-grandchildren, Emma, Ethan, Connor, Ellis, Tatum, and Luke; sisters, Athlyn Titcomb, Elaine Simpson of Houlton, and Lilly McQuarrie of Connecticut.
Olive was predeceased by her husband, Lester; siblings, Millard, Sterle, Gerald, Fred, Hollis, Earl, Evelyn, Rose, Ellen, and Nina.
Olive was especially blessed to have loving care from her friend, Linda Severson, her niece, Ellen Askren, and from caregivers Vicki, Nancy, and Tammy.
Olive’s life centered around caring for her family and home. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking, Drews Lake camp, the Red Sox!, woodworking courses, and traveling in the RV with Lester. Olive is a member of Court St. Baptist Church and has always kept those dear to her in her prayers. Much gratitude is given to Hospice and VNA.
Friends called at Dunn Funeral Home 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 9 until time of service at 12 noon, with Rev. Gary Johnson officiating. Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery.
