PATTEN — In conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the Patten Lumberman’s Museum and Founder’s Day, Timber Tina’s Great Maine Lumberjack Show will be appearing in Patten Saturday, July 13.
Sponsored by Katahdin Valley Health Center, Timber Tina’s Great Maine Lumberjack Show is a group of logging sports entertainers that travel around North America performing shows at fairs, festivals, sport shows, expos, corporate events, private functions and more.
The 30-minute shows are scheduled for 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. and action packed performances where they take the old time skills the lumberjacks use to use in the woods and turn them into a modern day competition.
With two teams competing against each other, the lumberjack Show includes the following events: power ‘hot’ sawing, axe throwing, cross-cut sawing, underhand chopping and log rolling.
The Lumberjack Shows are entertaining for the entire family and fun for all ages. The shows are high action, fast moving, educational, humorous, historical and fun.
Timber Tina started log rolling at the age of 7. She performed in her family’s “Scheer’s Lumberjack Show” for over 15 years before branching off on her own in 1995 to start The Great Maine Lumberjack Show and The World Champion Lumberjills.
