Summer program registration
There are still openings in the recreation department’s tennis, baseball and swimming programs. If interested in registering your child, come into the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center and see what we have to offer.
Caribou Rec Xtreme programs
There are still openings in the CRX program “Wild Outdoor Women” in Bar Harbor from July 23-25. This is for girls only in grades 6-9. The fee is $200 for residents and $225 for non-residents. Pre-registration is required.
Take It Outside Adults Series
The Take It Outside Adult Series is back again this year with exciting trips for area adults. Allagash Wilderness Waterway overnight trip is Aug. 24-25. The fee is $75. On Aug. 27 is Kings Landing trip. The fee is $50. On Sept. 6 is MIZPAH and the Edmundston Botanial Gardens trip. The fee is $35.

Closed July 4
There will be no programs on the July 4 in observance of Independence Day. The community pool, and the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center will be closed.
LIMESTONE
Off-Road 5K slated
The Limestone Recreation Department and the Limestone Class of 2016 Project Graduation students are teaming up to host the first Limestone 4th of July Off-Road 5K Walk/Run Thursday, with registration taking place from 9-9:30 a.m. behind the Limestone Community School.
The walk/run will begin at 9:30 a.m. The entry fee for this event is $10 and all proceeds will benefit the Limestone Class of 2016 Project Graduation group.
3-on-3 basketball tourney
The Limestone Recreation Department and the Limestone Class of 2016 Project Graduation group will host a co-ed, three-on-three double-elimination basketball tournament Friday and Saturday.
Day-of registration will begin at 4:30 p.m. at the basketball court located in the Albert Michaud Memorial Park in Limestone. Games will be held on Friday from 5:30-8 p.m. and will resume at 10 a.m. on Saturday until the tournament is completed.
British Soccer Camp
Challenger Sports, which utilizes British coaches, will offer a soccer camp the week of Aug. 5-9 at LCS.
The British Soccer Camp is for ages 3-16. Ages 3-4 (First Kicks) will meet from 9-10 a.m. with a weekly fee of $80. Ages 5-6 (Mini Soccer) go from 10:30 a.m.-noon with a fee of $94. The half day camp, held from 9 a.m.-noon, is for ages 7-16 with a fee of $125 and the full day camp, which goes from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and is for ages 10-16, has a fee of $179.
