Health Services Foundation announces 2013 scholarship awards

    The Health Services Foundation is pleased to announce the following Elizabeth Bass and John T. Fitzpatrick Memorial Scholarships for the Greater Houlton area.
    Elizabeth Bass Awards — Taylor Bailey, 2011 graduate of Houlton High School, attends University of Maine at Presque Isle for medical lab technician; Ian Bauersfeld, 2012 graduate of Houlton High School, attends Husson University for

physical therapy; Cordell Beaton, 2013 graduate of Houlton High School, will be attending University of Maine to become a medical doctor; and Allyson Carmichael, 2013 graduate of Houlton High School, will be attending Bowdoin College to become a pediatrician.
    Also, Katherine Cone, 2011 graduate of Houlton High School, attends University of New England for studies in pediatrics; Samantha Dickison, 2010 graduate of Houlton High School, attends Eastern Maine Community College for nursing; Gaige Flewelling, 2011 graduate of Houlton High School, attends University of Maine at Fort Kent for nursing; Rebekah Holmes, 2013 graduate of Houlton High School, will be attending Wheaton College for medical oncology; Valerie Jay, 2012 graduate of Houlton High School, attends University of Maine at Presque Isle for physical therapy assistant; Alica Rockwell, 2013 graduate of Hodgdon High School, will be attending University of Maine at Fort Kent for nursing; Alana Smith, 2012 graduate of Houlton High School, attends University of Vermont for studies in neurology.
    Earning the Elizabeth Bass and John T. Fitzpatrick Memorial Awards was Melissa Peabody, 2013 graduate of Houlton High School, will be attending Husson University for nursing.
