On June 26, the Happy Losers held their weekly meeting at the Congregational Church in Island Falls. The leader opened the meeting with the pledge and roll call.
Thirteen ladies weighed-in and eleven attended the meeting. Jackie Pratt was the person who lost the most weight for the week, and Jane Fitzgerald was runner-up. Great job ladies so says George G.
Our secretary and treasurer gave reports for the week. The leader led the program for the week. A quiz of eight questions was had, with interesting answers.

Oakfield Seniors
A group of 24 members and four guests met at the Oakfield snowmobile club for the final meeting of June. The blessing was said and we had a potluck lunch. After lunch we had the Lord’s Prayer and the flag salute led by Bob Locke. We had had a short business meeting. It was decided to donate $50 to Tori Bates for postage to send packages to the troops.
There will be no meeting on July 3 because of the holiday. We also voted to bring dogfood for the humane society in Houlton.
